THE FOUNDING STORY - There has to be more than just pretty pictures.
It was 2009. The world was in the midst of a financial crisis, and for many banks, the internet was still uncharted territory. Michael Altendorf and his team saw something else: They saw a world where data wasn't just stored, but understood.
Back then, people called it "Big Data" or "Data Mining." We called it the future.
We didn't start with millions in VC funding; we started with code. We built algorithms that learned. Our software quickly understood: Which customer needs what? And when?
The breakthrough came fast: As the first Facebook Marketing Partner in Germany, we proved that personalization works. But we realized: True relevance doesn't happen on social media, but where real financial life happens – in the bank account.
THE DAVOS MOMENT - Knighted in the Swiss Alps
In 2012, the phone rang. It was the World Economic Forum (WEF). They had selected us as a "Technology Pioneer." Suddenly, we stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the founders of Google, Airbnb, and Spotify.
In Davos, we didn't discuss banner ads; we discussed the responsibility of technology. How to use AI ethically? How to protect data?
This moment defined our DNA: We decided against the quick exit and chose sustainable software architecture instead. "Made in Germany" became our promise of security in an insecure digital world.
THE SHIFT TO BANKING - Why We Love Banks (And Why They Need Us)
Many tech companies find banks "slow." We find them fascinating.
Banks sit on the most valuable raw material of the digital economy: Trust and transaction data. But often, these treasures are buried in old IT silos.
We made it our mission to open these silos – without tearing them down. We build the bridge between the solid banking core and the dynamic customer app.

Make customer journeys visible: With the newly developed ADTELLIGENCE Pathfinder, we visualise the click and purchase behaviour of website users. Customer journeys can be recorded live and interaction potential can be identified. With just a few clicks, customer profiles are clearly segmented – from comprehensive overviews to individual user journeys.
GDPR check: A prerequisite for processing user data is consent under data protection law. Our new software helps by automatically checking data and evaluating the opt-ins in real time – at a glance.
AI AS A SERVICE FOR EVERYONE: MASTERMIND.AI CAPTURES THE MARKET
Our new AI solution Mastermind.ai enters the market, cloud based and usable out of the box. Data is sent to the ADTELLIGENCE server via an interface and evaluated in real time. Real-time analyses and recommendations follow. Uncomplicated AI for everyone, independent of the IT infrastructure.
CAR MANUFACTURERS AND SPARKASSEN BECOME MAJOR AI CLIENTS
ADTELLIGENCE partners with the automotive industry. An individually developed AI solution from ADTELLIGENCE makes reliable prediction of global car sales possible. In cooperation with the Sparkassen finance portal in Berlin, Sparkassen PIA is introduced. Online content can flexibly be tailored and presented to users.
2017 NEXT-GENERATION PREDICTION TOOL LAUNCHES
The ADTELLIGENCE Sales Intelligence Platform launches – a milestone in CRM. Self-learning AI systems (machine learning) can predict Next Best Actions based on customer and transaction data.
AI INNOVATIONS AND AWARDS
Besides the machine learning algorithms, Acceleraid launches a new neural network. The Acceleraid Personalisation Platform is acclaimed as BEST OF and wins the 2016 industry prize. Adtellicene is chosen to join the leading group of IT innovation winners. With Visitor Journey, Acceleraid brings a new product to market that analyses the behaviour of website users.
2015 ADTELLIGENCE BECOMES RISING STAR
Deloitte's annual Technology Fast 50 Award goes to the fastest-growing technology companies. Acceleraid is awarded for its growth of more than 500%.
AWARDED FROM THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM
Annually the WEF awards the predicate Technology Pioneer for especially promising technical innovations. In 2014, Acceleraid was the Technology Pioneer and is now in elite company: big players such as Google, Dropbox and Twitter are among the early laureates.
2012 ADTELLIGENCE BECOMES A STAR IN SILICON VALLEY
ADTELLIGENCE is invited to the most important conference of the IT industry. Its CEOs speak at NOAH in San Francisco and establish valuable contacts with Silicon Valley start-ups. The ADTELLIGENCE Personalisation Cloud is launched as an autonomous product and increasingly attracts customers that have discovered the benefits of Big Data.
ADTELLIGENCE BECOMES A FACEBOOK-PARTNER
Facebook makes ADTELLIGENCE its first ad partner in Germany with an advertising platform for agencies, a partnership that continues today. The first version of the Personalisation and Targeting Engine receives the German prize for online communication.
AMONGST THE BEST AT BERKELEY
After just one year of development, our first product is ready: the Social Advertising Platform, a fully automated advertising platform with targeting for social media. Facebook soon follows with its own solution. At the Intel Berkeley Start-up Challenge, Acceleraid faces the competition from Silicon Valley and ranks third.
2009 FIRST ANGEL INVESTS
On May 4, Acceleraid GmbH is founded. The aim: to establish AI as the company's future and be a pioneer. Support from an angel investor is procured immediately.
